D.C. Greenworks is a non-profit organization that operates as a social enterprise and takes pride in working with community leaders, community development corporations, and inner city residents to provide educational and outreach for environmentally focused community based programs. They are particularly known for their D.C. Treekeepers program and their work with installing a wide variety of LID projects including greenroofs within the D.C. metropolitan region. Their executive director Dawn Gifford has a lot of experience with grant writing and has helped clients obtain funding through various government agencies.
